London Coffee Chain Target Airports and Train Stations

Grind have announced they’ve signed an exclusive new agreement with SSP, in order to build Grind cafés and bars in airports and train stations throughout the UK and Europe. It’s this reason why the café/bar brand are actively seeking investment via Crowdcube in order to fund the “next stage of growth”. 

Grind will first launch their new outlets at two major London travel locations in 2018, and the brand are already planning to open more outlets in both air and rail locations in the near future. SSP - who are known as a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations across the globe - will be helping Grind open these new outlets.  

“We can confirm that we are partnering with SSP. They are helping us bring Grind to train stations and airports nationally for the very first time. We want to keep hold of our sterling reputation, by providing our customers with the highest quality coffee and cocktails our London customers have grown accustomed to,” said David Abrahamovitch, founder and CEO of Grind.

Grind managed to double their target by raising £1.3 million in “bonds” in August 2015. However, in order to achieve their desired next phase of growth, Grind decided to go back to Crowdcube in the hope that members of the public would decide to buy shares in the company.

Grind - which was established in 2011 in Shoreditch - now serves over one million coffees annually. The company has 200 members of staff working across five café-bars, four restaurants, a coffee roastery and even a recording studio!
