The Snack, Nut and Crisp Manufacturers Association (SNACMA)
The Snack, Nut and Crisp Manufacturers Association (SNACMA) is the trade association for the savoury snack food industry in the UK.
SNACMA membership includes the main savoury snack manufacturers operating in the UK market, who together account for well over 90% of all sales.
As the voice of the UK Savoury Snacks industry, our mission is to represent the interests of our members through active engagement with key stakeholders including legislators, regulators and opinion formers, helping to create a positive operating environment for the category and industry, leading to increased consumer confidence in our products.
Through our work we aim to:
• provide factual information about our products, with respect to health and wellness, food safety, and sustainability
• support the use of self-regulation where possible, but also ensure that if legislation is set it is both proportionate and practicable.
• provide a platform to facilitate cross-industry co-operation (within the limits of the competition law)
